                                                                                        February 4th & 5th, 2012
                                                                                        Executive Committee Connection
                                                                                        Area Directors' Leadership Training, Executive Committee Meeting Saturday 2:30 - 5:PM

                                                                                        Our WRJ Pacific District board meeting will be held on

                                                                                        Sunday, February 5, 2012,
                                                                                        9:00AM until 3:30PM at the
                                                                                        Executive Inn & Suites
                                                                                        1755 Embarcadero Cove
                                                                                        Oakland CA, 94606. 

                                                                                        The meeting will include leadership training for all.  The specific agenda will be announced soon.  
                                                                                         
                                                                                        There will be a buffet lunch available ($25. purchased in advance) which will provide selections for
                                                                                        vegetarians, dessert and beverage.  See details on the registration form.

                                                                                        __Other Weekend Activities for Area Directors  & the Executive Committee

                                                                                        Saturday, February 4, 2012:
                                                                                        Area Directors Leadership Training & Executive Committee Meeting, Havdallah & Dinner
                                                                                        _    1. Area Directors will meet together for a leadership experience with
                                                                                        former Area Director and Pacific Director VP, Diana MaKieve  2:30PM - 5:00 PM.
                                                                                            2. Executive Committee will meet 2:30PM – 5:00 PM. 
                                                                                            3. Havdallah shortly after 5:00 PM.
                                                                                            4. Saturday evening - no host dinner together (details to be announced later), and either
                                                                                        an informal get together or other opportunities. 

                                                                                        Those women who are in the area prior to the Saturday meetings noted above, can plan on an
                                                                                        opportunity for lunch together - or on their own, if preferred. 

                                                                                        Friday, February 3, 2012, Executive Committee connecting experience
                                                                                        On Friday, Executive Committee members will hold a connecting experience from approximately
                                                                                        2:30PM through dinner at the home of Myra Feiger –the registration form will set out the dinner
                                                                                        cost - and on Saturday morning, February 4th from 10:00AM until noon.

                                                                                        _Women who are not on Executive Committee who arrive on Friday may plan on a no -host
                                                                                        dinner opportunity together TBA at approximately 6:00PM.  Friday evening after dinner, we will
                                                                                        all meet together at a hotel location TBA.

                                                                                        _Please note that the hotel does not have a restaurant but the shuttle will be available to transport us to whatever location is selected. Those driving to Oakland may drive to the restaurant.


                                                                                        _Information about the Executive Inn & Suites
                                                                                        Parking at the hotel will be at no cost. If you will be arriving by plane, there is no cost shuttle
                                                                                        service from/to the Oakland Airport. When you arrive at the airport, you will find phones for
                                                                                        local hotels. Call the hotel and the shuttle will be sent to pick you up. Once arrival times have
                                                                                        been received, you will be advised regarding who else is arriving at approximately the same
                                                                                        time so that you can all board the same shuttle.  For hotel overnight guests there is
                                                                                        complimentary deluxe continental breakfast and high speed internet access.
                                                                                         
                                                                                        HOTEL ROOMS:  Main Building City Side single, double or triple Rate $79
                                                                                                                       Main Building Water Side single, double or triple $99
                                                                                                                       Suites Building Water Side single, double, triple $119
                                                                                        The hotel management suggests that those opting for the $79 and $99 rooms plan on two
                                                                                        guests per room. Rates will be available for Thursday through Sunday nights.
                                                                                         
                                                                                        Rooms may be reserved by:  Telephoning the hotel reservations department at 510 536 6633 
                                                                                        Going on line to www.executiveinnoakland.com, then entering arrival and departure dates,
                                                                                        enter our group code in the “Group Code” box, click on “Check availability”, then click on
                                                                                        “Continue”, then make your room selection, enter your personal information, and click on “Book
                                                                                        Reservation”.  Our group code is GR284GA 
                                                                                         
                                                                                        No penalty for reservations cancelled 72 hours in advance.
                                                                                        Cancellation within 72 hours prior to schedule arrival will be charged one night room and tax.

                                                                                        Reimbursement for Travel Expenses
                                                                                        Pacific District reimburses travel expenses (air, train,*gasoline with receipts and vouchers) for
                                                                                        Executive Officers, Area Directors and invited Standing Committee Chairs.   We are no longer able to absorb hotel room costs.   We each pay for our own meals.  There will be a catered buffet lunch on Sunday that will include selections for vegetarians.  Please see the registration form for details.
