Why Should I attend this Convention?
There are so many reasons! The theme for this convention is Every Women, Every Voice.
Over 70 women are working on 20 committees to bring this convention to you. Why? Because they have learned and grown, and cried and danced, and prayed at one or more of these conventions in the past and they want to bring the best experience they can think of to each of you in March of 2026.
We will pack in opportunities to
And best of all, you will have the opportunity to make connections with interesting and dedicated women from all over the Pacific District. There will be optional early-morning and late-night activities and special Saturday night fun, with a 70’s-Themed Disco and Karaoke Party – don’t forget to bring your costume!
What Is the Timeframe for Convention?
Convention begins with registration/check-in at noon on Thursday, March 12th, and our Kickoff Event will begin at 7:15 pm that same day. The convention will end at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 15th.
If you are on the in-coming Pacific District Board, (including Sisterhood Presidents) there will be a Board meeting after convention ends from 1:30-3:30 Sunday afternoon.
Pasadena is a historic and vibrant city so consider arriving early or staying an extra day or two to explore it.
What Is the Cost of Convention?
The convention steering committee has been working very hard to keep costs down. However, due to the explosion of food and labor costs over the past few years, registration for this convention will be a bit more than conventions in the past.
There are so many reasons! The theme for this convention is Every Women, Every Voice.
- Our committees have been working hard to make our time together into a journey of personal growth and enrichment with something for everyone.
- Our workshops will offer opportunities to learn from amazing leaders/teachers who will guide us in finding our own voices within our communities and sisterhoods, and within ourselves.
- Our Spirituality committee has been preparing meaningful services and study opportunities. We know from past evaluations that the experience of praying together in member-written, member-led Shabbat services has often been described as the highlight of our Conventions.

We will pack in opportunities to
- learn about WRJ-supported camping experiences,
- meet our YES Fund beneficiaries,
- take part in a meaningful social action project,
- meet and talk with our WRJ guests – one of whom will be Rabbi Liz P.G. Hirsch, the CEO of WRJ North America! As well as Jane Karlin, WRJ Board Secretary.

Which Airport Shall I Fly Into?
The closest airports are Burbank, LAX, and John Wayne (SNS). Burbank is about 16 miles from the hotel, and LAX and John Wayne (SNS) are about 28 miles from the hotel. John Wayne (SNS) and Burbank are smaller, less crowded airports and the routes to Pasadena may be less congested than LAX.
Consult a traffic map to estimate your drive time as traffic varies substantially according to time of day.
The hotel does not offer a shuttle to any of these airports.
Alaska Airlines has extended a 7% discount (plus a $15.00 fee) for anyone traveling from anywhere into these cities between 3/9/26 and 3/23/26. More information will be provided after you register for Convention and will be on the Convention portal for registrants.
Scholarships:
We recognize that the costs to attend convention this year is high, but actually, the registration fee just barely covers the cost of food to be provided by the hotel and the rest of the costs will be raised through fundraising efforts such as tributes, sponsorships, and chance to win, as well as being underwritten by the district.
In the meantime, there are several creative ways to help you pay for this convention. Please start by asking your own Sisterhood if there are any monies built into your budget to help defray the cost of convention. This could come under leadership development or even the President’s discretionary funds. Secondly, ask your clergy if there are any Temple monies available to help you attend this convention. Often Temple clergy have discretionary money to help with leadership development.
Please Make A Commitment To Join Us Next March!
Without your attendance, we’ll be one woman short, so give yourself the gift of Sisterhood. Take a few days out of your regular schedule to learn and grow and study and pray together with so many wonderful women. It will change your life!

My Favorite Convention Memories
Lillian Burkenheim Silver
My favorite Convention memories are being with my Sisters exploring new experiences. My first Convention was in Oakland. We flew into San Francisco Airport and took the BART to Oakland. It was my first time leaving my family and trekking on a girls’ trip. And it was exciting, informative and fun. The seasoned members of our Sisterhood held nightly slumber parties for everyone, where we met and talked about what we learned, our lives and everything under the sun. There were so many exciting programs and ideas I remember being excited to come home and recreate some of them at our Sisterhood.
My second favorite Convention memory was at the Convention in Portland. There is just something so incredibly warm and embracing about being with friends you only see at Convention. The city, the convention, the people. I was inspired. Phyllis Bigelson gave a speech about getting involved with the District. I talked with her about opportunities and by the time we landed back in LA I was involved in planning the next Convention.
This year, there were no flights, no hotel, but there was still lots of opportunities to learn and connect. Can’t wait to find my next Convention memory!
