What Is Speakers Bureau?
​

Who:  WRJ PD Speakers Bureau is made up of women from our district who are experts on a variety of subjects.

What:  WRJ PD Speakers Bureau is a program to benefit sisterhoods by providing experts on any and all subjects of interest to your sisterhood.*  

Where
:  Speakers come to your sisterhood to present a topic, subject or workshop of your choosing.  There is no cost to you.


When
:  Whenever you’d like some programming ideas, spirituality, or any special occasion or celebration. When you want to learn about social justice projects, or are planning your sisterhood installation, or need help recruiting younger members, or anything else sisterhood-related.  Any time is the right time to request a WRJ PD Speaker.


Why
:  Because WRJ PD exists to provide your sisterhood with the resources it needs to foster connections, create community, and strengthen the bonds of sisterhood.


How
:  Simply fill out the online form (found on the WRJ PD website under Speakers Bureau) to request a speaker, or email [email protected]. If you have questions, we encourage you to contact your Area Director
.


*Examples of some of the topics/workshops/subjects for which you can request a speaker:
  • Creating a sisterhood Shabbat service, including sermon, D’var Torah, and Torah Study
  • Board leadership training – strategic planning, budgeting for your sisterhood, fundraising, etc.
  • Successful programs from around the district
  • Social Action/Social Justice/Advocacy Training to put to use in your sisterhood, temple community and community at large
  • Membership – how to increase your numbers and attract younger members
  • Social Media and Technology  - how to use the lastest tech tools to maximize your efforts with membership, programming and fundraising in today’s world
  • Identifying and developing new leaders
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Self Care
  • Installations, retreats, and so much more​
