2016 Convention Giving Opportunities

Convention is an exciting opportunity to learn, grow, connect, be inspired and develop your leadership style. WRJ Pacific District's goal is to be able to accommodate as many members as possible by not making Convention too expensive to attend. Meanwhile, it takes tremendous resources to undertake. The difference between what we charge to attend and our actual costs is something we strive to cover through various fundraising efforts: Sponsorships, Tributes, Product Sales and Chance to Win.

As your sisterhood begins to plan for this year's WRJ Pacific District Convention in Las Vegas, we invite and encourage you to take advantage of one or more of these development opportunities. You can help make this year's Convention a success!

Sponsorships: There are many different opportunities to sponsor or help underwrite a distinctive item or signature event at the Convention  - from bima decorations or technology support to the YES Fund lunch, our amazing Scholar in Residence Rabbi Joe Black or our Special Guest WRJ President Blair Marks. Sponsorships can be done individually or as a group, in whole or in part. For more information about how you and your sisterhood can participate in sponsorship and underwriting opportunities, please contact Lillian Burkenheim Silver or Karen Goldberg at Convention.wrjpd@gmail.com.

Tribute Book: The Tribute book is a great way to recognize incoming and outgoing WRJ Pacific District Board members and promote your sisterhood. For the first time, at this Convention you will have the chance to give tributes to all the wonderful women at Convention in our brand new electronic Tribute book. Your tributes will be projected in full color on the big screen during the Convention. They no longer will be hidden in a book you schlep around. When you go home, you can share the tribute video with your sisterhood and place it on your Facebook page or website. It also will be on the WRJ Pacific District website for everyone to see throughout the year. Be part of this new and modern innovation and enjoy seeing your tributes in this new format! For any questions regarding electronic Tribute book submissions, please contact Lauren Milana at Tributes.wrjpd@gmail.com.

Chance to Win: We also will have a "Chance to Win" Auction at the Convention to raise additional funds for WRJ Pacific District. There will be something for everyone, but we need your support. Each sisterhood is asked to donate one item for the auction. Be creative! We have acquired some great items so far, including an iPad Mini and a surprise box with items totaling over $250. For questions regarding Chance to Win or if you would like to volunteer to help with the auction, please contact Ellen Canter at Convention.wrjpd@gmail.com.
