Your Pacific District Speakers Bureau at Work:
December 2014 Shabbaton Weekend at Temple Sholom, Vancouver BC

Recently, I had the honor of visiting Temple Sholom in Vancouver, BC. I was welcomed with a dinner on Thursday night. Friday I did a D'vah Torah at Shabbat Services and brought greetings from WRJ. I explained briefly what WRJPD stands for and described our district background.

On Saturday, I was included in their lovely sisterhood Shabbat service, where I read a passage and had the honor of walking with the Torah. Their beautiful choir made this an extra special service. After a nice lunch, we presented the YES Fund video and talked about all of the wonderful ways WRJ helps around the world. Rabbi Brown shared how important receiving a WRJ scholarship at HUC was to her.

Sunday morning, I attended their sisterhood board meeting, where we shared many fundraising ideas. It was a very successful weekend, enjoyed and shared by all.

Would you like to have a visit from your Area Director or a WRJPD officer at your sisterhood? We offer free opportunities to share, assist and learn with your sisterhoods. Please ask your Area Director how this can be arranged. See below to submit your speaker request. We hope you will avail yourselves of this opportunity throughout the year.
