Pacific District Scholarships

To apply for a Pacific District scholarship, please submit the application below.

Pacific District scholarships are available to individuals and Sisterhoods/women’s groups for the District, WRJ events, and some URJ events that promote and support PD goals and initiatives, as resources allow. The goal is to allow our members to enhance their leadership skills and further their connections to the District and WRJ. The Pacific District Scholarship Committee will regularly review applications as they are submitted. All decisions will be made after the application deadline. Notifications will be made within one week after the deadline.

Individual Members and members in a Sisterhood may apply for a scholarship by submitting the application below.

Guidelines and Requirements:
  • Recipient (individual, Sisterhood, or women’s group) must be an affiliated/member of the Women of Reform Judaism, in good standing, with current dues paid.
  • Scholarships are based on financial need. Check with your own Sisterhood or women’s group and your clergy for additional financial support first.
  • Scholarships will be awarded as equitably as possible with the available funds.
  • Scholarships can be applied to registration, travel, and/or lodging.
  • The scholarship can be a supplement to any other funding, if available.
  • Recipient must attend the entire event and all of its programming.
  • After the event, recipient must make a report back to her Sisterhood/women’s group, or if an individual member, to the District VP Membership.
  • Scholarships will be paid to the applicant after the event. Receipts together with the District reimbursement voucher should be submitted to the PD treasurer.
  • Scholarships may be split to be used by more than one woman
  • Receipt of previous scholarships do not disqualify you from applying again.
  • If you are not able to attend the event, let the Scholarship Committee and the event registrar know immediately.

By submitting the application, you agree to these terms and guidelines.

Please contact Ellen Bick at [email protected] if you have any questions.
