Time to Identify Your Award-Winning Endeavors!
It is time to share all the good things your sisterhood has been doing since our last District Convention - and be recognized for your creativity, dedication, and hard work. Start now by identifying all your sisterhood's successful endeavors which would be suitable to submit for the Eleanor Kretzer Kavod Award and which have been initiated after the last WRJ Pacific District convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 3-6, 2016.
The Kavod Committee is looking for innovative programming, outstanding projects, and significant contributions to social action that exemplify the spirit of tikkun olam. Winning projects and programs will be highlighted at the WRJ Pacific District Convention in San Diego, California, which will be held October 18-21, 2018. After Convention, the winning programs will be posted on the WRJ Pacific District website - go there now to find inspiration by reviewing past winners, and soon to find the forms.
The award categories are:
Normally eight awards are selected, one from each category. However, the committee has discretion to award the eight best programs including election of more than one from a category and none from another.

- Advancement of Judaism: A religious, spiritual or educational service, program or class.
- Community Service: A social action, critical issues, or community outreach program or project exemplifying the spirit of tikkun olam.
- Leadership & Board Development: A successful training and/or motivational program that made an investment in the future of your sisterhood.
- One Time Fundraiser: An outstanding, successful single event.
- Ongoing Fundraiser: An ongoing fundraising project, or weekly, monthly or periodic project carried out within the past two years.
- Program: An outstanding social program, lecture, class or special event.
- Public Relations: An advertising campaign used for an event or to promote your sisterhood - newsletters, bulletins, posters and invitations used for the event, and/or the copy used for a successful media campaign.
- Youth: An activity or event that most benefited the youth in your synagogue or community.
