Pacific District Convention Scholarships
The Pacific District is thrilled to announce the award of 28 scholarships to members from all over the District. The goal was to give every woman the support she needed from the District to attend Convention. This is a way to encourage new leaders to develop new skills, network with other women, and experience a wonderful gathering of like-minded women.
Scholarships will help pay for hotel rooms, registration, travel, or a part of those costs. The total amount given was $11,949. This was over the amount the Committee had to work with, but the District Board graciously supplemented the amount so that everyone who applied could receive a scholarship.
This happy outcome was the result of months of work on behalf of the Scholarship Committee: Sandy Gatlin & Cindy Weschrob from SW; Lois Fried from NorCal; Robin Plotnik & Ellen Bick from NW; and Cher Krichmar and Jackie Zev from SoCal. A big thank you to these women for their ongoing involvement.
And congratulations to all of our scholarship grantees. We look forward to seeing you in Bellevue!
