Scholarships

The Pacific District 2018 Convention Scholarship Committee, carefully chosen to represent all areas of our district, met to discuss the available scholarship funds and determined that our district will be able to grant nine convention scholarships this year. Each scholarship awarded to a sisterhood will cover one  2018 WRJ PD Convention registration fee.

Please complete and submit the application form to be considered as an applicant. Apply now as there are a limited number of scholarships based on available funds.

Deadline for application to be received is midnight on 8/19/2018!

Click here for the application. Kindly return the application to Rhonda Daniels.
Click here for the scholarship guidelines to share with your Sisterhood.

Application Requirements:
  • Recipient sisterhood must be affiliated with Women of Reform Judaism and in good standing, meaning your 2018-2019 WRJ and Pacific District dues must be paid. If you have any questions about your District dues please contact our treasurer, Margie Meadow.
  • The recipient(s) is expected to attend the entire convention and report back to her sisterhood board relaying information, ideas and takeaways.
  • Preference will be given to new sisterhoods, financially challenged sisterhoods, and sisterhoods who have not sent delegates to a recent district convention.
More Information:
  • The scholarship will be reimbursed to your sisterhood after your delegate attends and participates fully in the 2018 Pacific District Convention.
  • The scholarship may be divided to underwrite the cost of more than one person attending.
We look forward to getting your applications and encourage all sisterhoods to apply.

Rhonda Daniels, Scholarship Committee Chair; Committee: Lois Fried, Northern California; Julia Wackenheim, Southern California; Karen Kahn, Pacific Southwest; and Melinda Holtzman, Pacific Northwest
